These were designed under earlier versions of Trainz and won't work in TRS. Auran simply changed too much in the evolution of TRS.

What would be involved in converting them?

I mean I have seen the documents for Clinchfield where you basically say "Go into Surveyor and place a consist here and another here that you can pick up and take to here." Seems like that would be feasible with these two scenarios except for adding things like AI traffic and Waybills and instructions.

Is this feasible? And is adding the AI traffic that complicated?

It just seems much simpler than the excellent layout work that you are doing, but I also realize that "If it were that easy, someone probably would have done it by now . . ."

Yes, if it were that easy someone would have done it already.

Auran made fundamental changes in the way a route is seen. These changes though small, make conversion of a scenario from UTC or TRS2004-SP1 to anything later very difficult. Auran themselves managed to alienate many of the scenario creators simply because they kept moving the goal posts.

My own Clear Lake Revival was written for 2004/SP1 (vanilla TRS2004 couldn't understand the encoded TrainzScript) and failed under SP2 and later. Because I'd deleted the original code it took a genius (not me. I thank him regularly :) ) to reverse engineer the trainscript created by SCS and make the scenario viable under the later service packs.

Creating a scenario in the first place is difficult enough, especially if the scenario is coded by hand as the two you mention were, but to pull it all apart and re-make it is more than most people are prepared to do.

Okay, thanks.

I may see what I can come up with anyway, but having never used SCS, I'm not sure how far I'll get.

I'll look into it more on my own before I trouble the forum about it, though.
