I have mentioned this in the Trainz forums, but no one seems much interested, so I thought I would post here hoping for a response.
Recently, while visiting my former employer, the CN / ICRR
to tour their new $100M + hump facility, I saw the dispatchers screen. The display looks like this:

BTW, that system runs in DOS...

What would it take to get a screen view like this for Trainz?
It seems to me that the information displayed in driver map view is all there... track, train consists and ability to change junctions or click on any consist, etc... therefore a schematic style view is a matter of displaying the route in a schematic style rather than a map.
Opinions anyone? Facts? Directions on where to look or start on a project like this?
Thanks, Durff

PS:In a perfect world this screen could be "undocked" and moved over to a second monitor. One could then follow any particular train on one screen as we now do, and keep an eye on other traffic on the other screen.

Whitepass: thanks for your reply.

Looking at it from another angle...There are a couple of rules,
in particular, HUD, that look ahead and show the alignment of the next junction, etc.... this is the type of graphic
( schematic) that would be required. I believe there is some way to change the "look ahead" distance for AI. If the HUD shows one junction, why couldn't it be expanded to show several junctions or, ultimately, all junctions. At minimum the junctions on the "path" the AI sees to it's destination ?

So, if this is the case, can someone point me in the right direction?
