Welcome to the Fremont Subdivision Turn on the beautiful Clinchfield Railroad! Assets required to run the scenario. The Clinchfield, a graphics intensive layout, coupled with lots of traincar assets means framerates at certain points will suffer. I have tried to balance realistic train lengths with reasonable framerates. The trains you see will be shorter than is typical but long enough to give a good feel for the area. Dante, the major yard where you start is populated with many cars on sidings. This is the worst point for framerates. As you approach the Sandy Ridge Tunnel the framerates will smooth out and be typical for the rest of the scenario. Occasional pauses/surges are caused by deleting consists that are no longer seen (to improve framerates). There are only a few instances of this. All switches will be thrown for you. Pay attention to the prompts. When told to "clear" a switch, you sometimes have to go a bit furthur than you would expect . You will get a new prompt when you have cleared. This is mountain railroading - use your handbrake when decoupling cars! There are 3 save points - use them. Do NOT use the shift key to speed things up. I guarantee you will become "unsynched" with the script. The scoring is based on 1000 points (perfect) with deductions for speeding, bad couples, collisions, running signals at red and derailments. Speeding fines increase as they accumulate. You can get booted for speeding, but you will have to work at it. Bad coupling fines are based on speed. Over 15 mph and you could derail. Too many and you will be booted. Running red signals will terminate your employment. Collisions and derailments will end the scenario.
